About The Foundations 

We’re dedicated to enhancing mental health skill-building within high school sports. Athletes, coaches, and athletic directors have expressed a clear need for this focus, citing the mental aspect as over 60% of an athlete’s game. However, limited time and resources often hinder the integration of comprehensive mental health training. That’s where we step in. Our programs are designed to provide the tools and support needed to embed mental health practices seamlessly into your athletic programs.

INTRODUCING...

THE FOUNDATIONS

EMPOWERING FEMALE ATHLETES

Our 10-module curriculum, led by female athlete mentors from collegiate and professional levels, equips high school athletes with tools for sports and life. Each module is designed as an approximate 30-minute lesson, including:

  • A short educational video
  • An individual reflection/activity page
  • A team activity and/or discussion guide

Additionally, each module includes videos from collegiate, professional, and elite female athletes who share their experiences and examples of these skills in practice. Join us to lay the groundwork for a successful sports career, on and off the field.

ABOUT THE ORG

SG United Foundation (“Strong Girls United”) is a nonprofit organization with the mission of empowering girls to be strong, confident, and resilient through sports, mentorship, and mental health programming. They accomplish this through a variety of programs that are led by inspiring female role models, using evidence-based trauma-informed curriculum teaching mental health and mental skills, as well as engaging girls and teams in physical activity, sport and play. Their motto is strong bodies, kind hearts, and unstoppable minds. They thrive at the intersection of multi-sport exposure and fun, social connection and feeling part of a team, and teaching mental skills and resilience.

At Strong Girls United, we believe in the power of mentorship and mental skills development through sports. Our Female Athlete Mentorship (FAM) program is a comprehensive platform and community that supports those working with girls from Kindergarten through college. FAM offers a holistic approach with skill-building activities and life lessons, empowering both girls and mentors to build confidence and resilience. Unlock over four years of research-backed content and activities to bring to your team/community or start your own initiative with our FAM curriculum.
